Vonage expected to lose grip on VoIP market
VoIP provider Vonage and other alternative voice providers may be hot properties now, but they are projected to lose market share quickly, predicts the Yankee Group. The report says Vonage and other alternative providers, which had 66% of the VoIP market at the end of 2003, will control only 19% of the market at the end of 2005. New VoIP offerings from telcos and MSOs are a major reason for the expected change, Yankee Group says. TechWeb Network (4/13)
