Microsoft strikes deal with RIM
Microsoft announced plans to make its corporate messaging service more widely available and said it would partner with Research in Motion to make the BlackBerry wireless e-mail device work with Microsoft's Live Communications Server. The deal with RIM, which came as somewhat of a surprise, indicates Microsoft acknowledges some wireless e-mail users inevitably will use non-Windows platforms.
