Former Nortel employee knew of revenue problems

John Foster, a former Nortel Networks systems manager, says he notified executives at the company that revenue was being booked months before products were shipped to customers, but nothing came of the warning. Nortel says it is "aware of the allegations" but has not commented further. Accounting miscues by the equipment maker currently are the the subject of an SEC probe, as well as a shareholder lawsuit in Canada in which Foster is to appear a witness.  Wall Street Journal, The (11/18)
