Indian regulators examine Vodafone-Hutchison Essar deal
In a move sparked by a complaint, the Foreign Investment Promotion Board will investigate the terms of Vodafone's stake purchase in Hutchison Essar to ensure they are within the boundaries of the law. Hutchison Telecommunications has said the deal is within the law. The Register (U.K.) (3/28)

Sprint Nextel JV with cable targets small businesses
Sprint Nextel's joint venture with cable companies Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox and Advance/Newhouse will add wireless services to small businesses into cable's bundle of offerings. SK Telecom takes HSDPA nationwide
SK Telecom extended the reach of its HSDPA service to cover 99% of the population in South Korea. The operator expects to have 20 HSDPA-enabled handsets available by year's end. The Korea Times (3/28)

Motorola invests in GoTV
Motorola announced an undisclosed investment in GoTV Networks, which delivers TV to mobile phones. AT&T and Verizon Wireless offer GoTV's programming to their subscribers. Chicago Tribune (3/28)
