  • Google pitches idea on radio-spectrum auction to FCC
    Google has proposed to the FCC that it allow a "real-time airwaves auction model" for the radio spectrum that the FCC will auction off. The Google model would allow a holder of a spectrum license to auction off unused spectrum to other bidders on a wholesale basis.     Anti-spyware legislation was passed by the House on Tuesday in an attempt to protect people against identity theft and other Internet fraud. Spyware is used via the Internet to collect personal data from users, and legislators say about 90% of U.S. computers are infected. The new bill would make spyware a criminal offense and includes $10 million for enforcement over the next four years.
