Ethernet services market poised for boom, report says
The global Ethernet services market hit $2.5 billion last year and is expected to jump to $22.2 billion by 2009, a report by Infonetics Research predicts. Verizon launches marketing campaign for TV service

Symbian phone shipments jump 180%

Report: For telecom, more subscribers aren't growing revenue

Qwest offers VoIP
Qwest Communications now offers VoIP service to better compete against rivals already providing the service. The telco is charging $30 a month for local calls plus five cents a minute for domestic long-distance calls, making the overall price significantly higher than competitors'. A piece of Cisco Systems software posted on a Russian Web site was part of a broader hacker attack on thousands of computer systems including those serving NASA and the U.S. military, reports say. MCI settles Mississippi tax claims
