Verizon takes step toward directories spinoff

Verizon Communications has filed papers with the SEC that would allow it to sell its directories division. Cingular hit with lawsuit over AT&T Wireless integration

A lawsuit filed against Cingular Wireless alleges the carrier violated the terms of its contract with former AT&T Wireless subscribers by interrupting their service during the integration of Cingular and AT&T's networks.
