Sprint offers streaming music via mobile phones
Sprint today is expected to introduce a service that allows mobile phone subscribers to listen to music via their handsets for about $6 a month. Music Choice, a company that provides music to cable and satellite TV operators, will provide the stream for Sprint.   CNET (12/20)

Internet portal Yahoo! expanded the reach of its mobile services by signing a deal with Nextel to provide WAP access to wireless subscribers. Iowa ISP wins $1B in spam damages
A small Iowa ISP was awarded more than $1 billion in damages in a RICO case against three alleged spammers which were responsible for overloading the company's servers in 2000 with 10 million e-mails a day. Although the judgment, including $720 million against AMP Dollar Savings, $360 million against Cash Link Systems and $140,000 against TEI Marketing Group, is not likely to be collected, it is thought to be the largest award in an anti-spam case.   San Jose Mercury News (Calif.)/Associated Press (free registration) (12/20)
