- Surveys show AT&T faces massive demand for iPhone
According to a survey by M:Metrics, two-thirds of potential iPhone customers are not currently AT&T subscribers, but they would switch from their current carriers in order to buy an iPhone. Another survey by Compete revealed that 12% of respondents had delayed purchasing new mobile equipment while they waited for iPhone to hit the market. The Wall Street Journal

- AT&T adds $10 broadband plan
AT&T this weekend launches a $10 monthly DSL plan, which it is making available for a limited time to new customers who also buy AT&T phone services. The pricing option only will be sold online to customers in the former BellSouth territories. The Tennessean (Nashville)

On Thursday, the Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Standards released a standard for IPTV that was developed by its IPTV Interoperability Forum.
