Vodafone to acquire TIW's assets in Romania, Czech Republic
Vodafone said it has agreed to pay $3.5 billion to acquire Telesystem International Wireless' operations in the two Eastern European countries. The move is part of an effort by Vodafone to beef up its presence in emerging markets.   The Wall Street Journal (3/15)

Comcast forms partnership with TiVo
Comcast and TiVo have formed a partnership that could greatly increase the usage of TiVo's DVR service. Virgin Mobile, Nokia unveil inexpensive phone for teen market

BT offers Ethernet services outside of U.K.
BT Group has announced that it is offering Ethernet services in New York City as well as in cities in Belgium, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain and Scandinavia. The services will allow BT to offer more bandwidth to enterprise customers.   Light Reading (3/14) 

Malone, now on Cablevision board, has doubts about Voom
Cable pioneer and Liberty Media chief John Malone doubts Cablevision's Charles Dolan will find success with satellite-television unit Voom. Fox Sports to offer wireless highlights
