Verizon Business branches out to start electric-grid service

Verizon Business will advise utilities on how to maintain a reliable and secure electric grid across the continent under a consultancy the telecom introduced Wednesday. Electric companies could pay from $30,000 to millions of dollars for the service, depending on their size and the nature of the job, a Verizon Business official said.
