Time Warner plans to upgrade Adelphia assets

Time Warner Cable already is planning an upgrade to the assets it expects to acquire in its joint purchase with Comcast of bankrupt Adelphia Communications. TWC estimates it will spend $650 million to bring the systems up to speed and push the sale of advanced products, such a high-speed Internet and VOD.
