New modem allows toggling between VoIP, SIP networks

Zoom Technologies has unveiled a new DSL modem with wireless capability that enables VoIP users to seamlessly switch from Zoom's free Global Village VoIP service to traditional phone connections. The company emphasizes that its system is more secure than pure-play VoIP services because it's interoperable with SIP-based providers.
