Verizon in deal to carry Discovery channels over FiOS
Verizon Communicationshas reached a deal that will allow it to distribute Discovery Communications' 14 cable channels over its new FTTP network. The agreement is the first programming deal for Verizon's FiOS service, which will provide voice, video and data services through a single connection.
