Former WorldCom chairman settles shareholder lawsuits

Former WorldCom Chairman Bert C. Roberts agreed to pay $5.5 million to settle shareholders' claims that he should have known the company's books were being cooked. Accounting firm Arthur Andersen is now the only party that has not settled the investor lawsuits.
