Equipment makers battle for share of VoIP market

The VoIP boom has been a major boost for gear makers Cisco Systems, Nortel Networks and Avaya, but aggressive price-cutting for VoIP equipment could eventually eat into their profits, analysts say. Avaya has been the most aggressive price-cutter, and that is beginning to affect its stock price, a report says.
