Some MCI shareholders may oppose Verizon deal
MCI shareholders could vote against a merger with Verizon Communications because some prefer Qwest Communications' higher offer, according to The Wall Street Journal. Qwest may need to re-enter the bidding war and revise its offer to limit the downside risk for MCI shareholders to reject the Verizon deal, investors say.
