Former Charter exec pleads guilty in subscriber-number case
David Barford, the former COO of Charter Communications has pleaded guilty for conspiracy to commit wire fraud in a plot to defraud investors by inflating subscriber numbers. Barford has agreed to testify against two other former executives. Prosecutors say the company is not a target of the investigation.
