T-Mobile site lets users map service quality

T-Mobile is offering a new service on its Web site that allows customers to determine how good or bad their coverage would be if they sign up for the company's service. Some analysts say the strategy could help T-Mobile reel in subscribers who want to ensure high quality service, although they also note the strategy could backfire if rival carriers market to consumers who might get poor service.
