New IPv6 network to link universities in China

The China Education and Research Network Information Center said it is launching an IPv6 network designed to connect 25 universities in 20 cities across the country. The group says IPv6 will help avert a possible shortage of IP addresses by dramatically increasing the amount of space available on the network.
