DirecTV president Stern resigns; CEO Carey to assume duties
DirecTV president Mitchell Stern resigned yesterday, a little more than a year after taking charge at the satellite-TV distributor, amid disagreements with DirectTV Group CEO Chase Carey. No successor was named, and the company said Carey will assume day-to-day oversight.
