Transition to new Internet protocol lags
Testimony before Congress yesterday said most government agencies -- the Defense Department a notable exception -- are not ready to switch to IPv6 from the current IPv4. The transition to IPv6, which already is under way in Europe and Japan, is seen as crucial for national security.
