Cox makes data, phone gains
Cox said it signed up 89,119 new digital phone customers in the fourth quarter, its biggest gain ever on that front. The MSO also said it added 140,691 cable modem subscribers during the period, and that it ended 2004 with 2.6 million broadband customers, up 585,000 from the end of 2003. The MSO reported a $2.54 billion loss for the fourth quarter, compared with an $11.3 million loss a year earlier.
