Kuwaiti telco enters fast-growing African market with buy
Kuwait's Mobile Telecommunications said it is buying Celtel International, an Amsterdam-based telco that operates in Africa, for $3.4 billion in cash. The combined company will serve about 8 million subscribers in the Middle East and Africa.
