Microsoft wins telecom business in IPTV
Microsoft is beginning to make progress in its long-standing -- and long-failing -- move into television technology. Companies such as BellSouth, SBC Communications and now Verizon have agreed to use Microsoft technology to deliver programming in their upcoming services. The deals come as telecom companies begin their foray into television delivery through Internet protocol television, or IPTV.
