FCC poised to rule on "naked" DSL

The FCC is expected to suspend regulations in California, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky and Louisiana requiring BellSouth to sell DSL separately from its local phone service. The ruling, which could have implications far beyond the handful of subscribers who get "naked" DSL from BellSouth, could come as early as today, people close to the situation say.
