Phoenix schools praise VoIP as money saver
When the Pendergast School District in western Phoenix decided to invest in a VoIP system back in 2000, it was a bit of a financial gamble for this tight-budgeted district. But the gamble has paid off, school officials say, partly because the technology staff can manage and troubleshoot the VoIP voice and data system themselves, a stark contrast to the old PBX voice mail system that required expensive specialists for changes and repair.
