Verizon wins MCI; Qwest may up ante
MCI yesterday decided to accept a $7.6 billion takeover offer from Verizon Communications, but Qwest Communications may not be out of the game yet, reports say. According to people close to the situation, Qwest has hired proxy adviser Altman Group to challenge the MCI-Verizon deal.
