The mysterious loquat fruit

Despite loquat's delicious taste and hearty texture, the pome fruit has not been as popular in America's kitchen as its cousins the apple and pear. Dwight Landis, who farms a loquat orchard in Malibu, Calif., hopes to change that and expose more people to the underrated fruit that has been popular for centuries in China and the Middle East.
